Jedidiah

Grace and peace, my friends...

Over the last few months, most of what I have posted on the blog has been youth group happenings and such. In my cruising the web tonight, I came across the video below. I have a couple of tshirts that I wear that folks occasionally ask me about. One is my blue Invisible Children shirt and the other is my Street Angels shirt. These two shirts are from the Hope Collection by a clothing company called Jedidiah. (Lauren also has a Street Angels shirt and a Compassion International shirt) This collection so cool because the proceeds from the shirts go directly to a ministry or non-profit organization that is involved in a really cool and powerful movement. Go and check out their shirts and other clothing, and then also watch the video below (it is in a larger format on the Jedidiah site).

EYC @ the Art Shack 1-18

Grace and peace, my friends!

EYC this past Sunday was really great. Personally, something was wrong with my brain. I think it was overloaded and it wasn't functioning properly, the openning discussion/lesson thing was botched a little...but no worries. We did some silk painting, and it was really neat! We had a community painting that everyone participated in. It was a tree, and the leaves were made up from different people's hands. It will be hung up in the youth room in the very near future. The youth also had an opportunity to make prayer cloths. The Axson's brought great food, and we had some really great chill and hang out time in the Art Shack. The vibe is so awesome there! Thanks to Paula Bowers and Mary How for their art leadership. Check out the pics below:

SR HIGH SKI TRIP! WE SURVIVED!

The Ski Trip was a ton of fun, to say the least. 17 youth and 3 other chaperones headed up the mountain together for a weekend of skiing and so much more. St. Michael's joined us on this adventure, and we also ran into St. Bartholomew from N. Augusta and St. Thaddeus from Aiken. From beginning to end the trip was filled with laughter and craziness. Check out the pictures below in the slide show. Here are a few excerpts from the weekend:

- Skiing while it was snowing on Sun morning.

- Dinner on Sat night at Chili's. Everyone sat at one long table. Good food, lots of laughter, Taylor and Marshall at one end, everyone was coloring at one point...

- Sat morning was beautiful, but at lunch time the rain moved in...everyone kept skiing!

- Alex was a natural on the slopes.

- Sarah, Anne, and Catherine playing in the indoor pool at the hotel.

- The fear of getting the bus stuck in the tool both on the highway.

- Anne's amazing crash (video found HERE)
