This Week @ St. John's (Luck of the Irish Edition)

Hey Everybody!

Happy Early St. Patrick's Day! I hope everyone's having a great week and has adjusted to the time change with relative ease so far. Here's what's coming up:

This Sunday we'll meet at St. John's at 5 for this month's Centennial Celebration EYC Activity. Bryana will lead a program discussing "Who is St. John?" and we'll talk about St. John and also have a fun activity to help us learn more about him! Dinner will be served as usual.

Every Wednesday this month, we will meet at St. John's at 5:15 for our Lenten program "The Gospel According to Willy Wonka." We'll be watching "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" and discussing how the movie relates to the Bible and what life lessons we can learn from the movie. We'll also spend this time packing bags for the Helping Hands Weekend Food Program. And we'll join the rest of the church at 6 for dinner!

March 25th will be a low key EYC here at St. John's. We'll meet at 5 at the church for a movie night! We'll be watching a classic from my childhood, either "Space Jam" or "HeavyWeights". Either way, you're sure to enjoy either movie. We'll have dinner that night, and I would suggest bringing a snack to share during the movie if you wish.

New Beginnings is coming up! Jr. High Students grades 6-8 are encouraged to attend this wonderful weekend at Camp Gravatt. Registration costs $75 and forms are due April 13th. Please contact me if you need any more information! Registration forms can be found here

Please let me know if you are playing any sports this Spring, or are in any plays or have any other fun activities going on. I'd love to come out and support you and what you do!

Tomorrow, Friday the 16th, I know that Richland One schools are out for the day, so if any of you wish, I will be having lunch at Chipolte in Trenholm Plaza around 12:30, and would love it if some of y'all wanted to join me. Please text me or email me if you want to join!

Also, don't forget that we have an All Ages Lock-In on April 20th-21st. That is a Friday Night-Saturday Morning event, and there will be no EYC that Sunday. I hope everyone can come, as it looks like we might have some friends from other churches in the Diocese join us that weekend!

I will not be here on Sunday morning, as I will be in Savannah this weekend with some friends from Auburn. But I will be back in time for EYC on Sunday, and I can't wait to hear about y'alls weekends!

Don't forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter if you haven't already! Have a great weekend!

Peace,

Clay.
